“Lord Lord Lord” marks the continuation of the “G.O.O.D. Fridays” series, and perhaps its too much to ask for Kanye enthusiasts to welcome this soulful track into the heavy monster tracks earlier introduced. Can this be a nostalgic glimpse of Kanye’s past melodic and soul-drenched style we fell in love with in The College Dropout? Unfortunately, soul is dead, and guests: Mos Def, Raekwon, Swizz Beatz, and Charlie Wilson, get contemplative in a 7 1/2 min. track, leaving me wanting an album of just that tone.
